The submission period for Berkeley’s Strategic Plan is now closed. Thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and perspectives — your input is helping to shape the future of Berkeley as we transition from the submission period into the analysis phase.
Between March and April 2026, we received hundreds of bold ideas from students, faculty, staff and alumni in virtual and in-person focus groups. This collective vision is now helping us define our path toward a new era of excellence.
What Will Happen with Submitted Ideas?
We’ll be reviewing all the submissions gathered throughout this process, analyzing themes and the frequency of similar ideas, and choosing a few key Initiatives to focus on for campus wide efforts. While we won’t be able to respond to every idea that is submitted, you may see your idea reflected in the campus wide plan or it may be pursued by individual units or departments. Leadership groups representing faculty, staff, students, and alumni will review the submissions to guide decision making about the initiatives and overall strategic vision.
You can expect to see the results of this process by the end of Summer 2026.
